What clients say

Sarah helped me understand my anxiety instead of just fighting it. For the first time in years I feel like I have room to breathe.

Client, working on anxiety

I came in completely burned out. The tools we built together are ones I still use every single week.

Client, professional in tech

Warm, direct, and genuinely practical. Therapy with Sarah never felt like going through the motions.

What I do

Areas of focus

Anxiety

Most of my anxiety clients are high-functioning on the outside and exhausted on the inside. We work on the patterns that keep your nervous system stuck in 'on' — and build practical tools you can use in the moments that matter.

Burnout

Burnout isn't a willpower problem. We'll look at the systems and roles draining you, and rebuild a sustainable rhythm — without you having to quit your whole life.

Perfectionism

Perfectionism is usually a brilliant coping strategy that has outlived its usefulness. We work gently, in IFS, with the parts of you that learned 'always more, always better.'

Life transitions

New job, new city, new identity, new diagnosis — transitions are often when long-quiet feelings surface. We make space to grieve what's ending and clarify what's next.

About me

My approach to therapy

I work with high-achieving adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral therapy with mindfulness and parts work — practical tools, with the warmth of a real conversation.

Most of my clients are professionals, parents, and creatives in their 20s through 40s. We meet weekly, in person in Brooklyn or via secure video for anyone in New York State. Sessions are 50 minutes; longer formats are available for couples and intensive work.

My approach

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship — not a script. We'll work together to understand what your anxiety is trying to protect, and build the skills to respond to it differently.

The process

What to expect

Our first session is 50 minutes, free of charge. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you've tried, and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to have everything figured out — most people come in mid-spiral, and that's completely fine.

If we decide to work together, ongoing sessions are 50 minutes, usually weekly to start. I work collaboratively — I'll share observations, ask questions, and sometimes offer frameworks or tools from CBT or IFS, but you're always in the driver's seat on what feels useful.

Most clients start to notice a shift within the first 6–8 sessions. We'll check in on how things are going, and I'll never string you along in therapy longer than makes sense for you.
